Day 0320: Icing it Up, Walling it Down.
I appreciate Lynn, Tri, Terr and JS for coming down on Monday. It made me feel like the planning of the event, or the lack thereof, was not wasted.
As agreed, we all met up at Kallang MRT. Lynn kept telling us how she was there from 10.15. No-life. I left house at 10.15 as well, and got there by 10.30. From the moment I saw a girl standing there spamming messages, and not taking either train, and waiting near the elevator as agreed upon as well, I knew it was her. But, just for hell's sake, what's life without some fun, right?
Right.
So I stood about 1 meter from her, and messaged her constantly. Kept hinting, and it took her awhile to find out.
So after she found it all out, we waited for Terr and JS, who was quick to spot us, quick to greet us, but was slow to take off.
And, it started raining. Not that we ran, of course. We walked. Slowly. To the bus stop.
And I don't know what the hell Terr and JS were doing, who the hell they were talking to, but since all our voices sound like we just came out of a f**king freezer, they tried to trick that person through the phone by mixing up their names with voices. Trust me, they had me confused.
Upon hitting 16, and hitting KLP's outer roads, we made a 'break for it' through the rain. So we were basically walking in the rain. No dancing.
So after that, we loitered in KFC, had a nice lunch, commented on Lynn's anorexic habits (ahem), and bailed to the arcade. I played Wangan for the first time in 3 months, and I teamed with Terr and JS (on-and-off) in Time Crisis 4. Needless to say, I owned them when scores were compared. But we didn't even get through the first stage. Only through 1-2.
Tri messaged Lynn constantly, commenting that she was lost. I tried calling her, but she, being afraid, didn't pick up. Figures. So we went bowling first. Lynn passed her phone to me, with Tri on the line. So I gave her some directions, since she was already in the KLP through I have no bloody idea what method.
I told Lynn I saw a girl outside, and suggested that maybe it was Tri. So she went.
And I stole her frame. *coughcough*
Anyways, JS, you bastard. Can't believe you beat me by one.
Oh, did I mention I saw Nads, Alv, Kev and a hell lot of other TK peeps there? No kidding. Jared, Alston and two girls, and those 3 back there were all bowling. I was all 'what the hell are you guys doing here?'
Check Nads' blog for the linking of the events.
Meanwhile, we bailed to the arcade, and played around for awhile. Then we started spamming claw machines. I only took one try - wasn't really interested.
And we didn't get anything.
But a Malay lady (not meaning to be racist) kept getting a hell lot.
After that, JS and Terr bailed on home, and Lynn and I spent 1 hour trying to convince Tri to go ice skating. If any of you saw three people sitting at the pillar near the ice skating counter, that was us.
We had another round of bowling, just Lynn and me, before we finally went ice skating.
And that was the craziest 2 hours of my day.
I finally learnt how to turn a ninety without losing much speed, in short, a bit of running sideways. But, it causes a bloody big blister.
Lynn and Tri kept hanging on to the wall, calling it their 'love'. Sheesh.
In the end, they managed to get the hang of speed, but not balance.
Sad story.
And hell, am I glad I was wearing pants.
The rest of the story shall be censored for Tri's sake.
Thanks again, -RDM-.
